WoW community raises more than $1.3 million through the Roofus Pack
WoW players raised more than $1.3 million for Habitat for Humanity through the Roofus Pack and helped support access to safe, affordable homes.
A small digital companion produced a substantial real-world result: purchases of the Roofus Pack by the WoW community raised more than $1.3 million USD for Habitat for Humanity. The campaign brought players from modern World of Warcraft and WoW Classic progression realms together in support of better access to housing.
The purchase price supported Habitat for Humanity
The Roofus Pack was sold from March 7 through May 12, 2026. It included the in-game Roofus pet and Paw Pal housing decor. Blizzard says it donated 100% of the pack's purchase price after chargebacks, refunds, transaction fees, VAT, and similar taxes were deducted.
That distinction matters: more than $1.3 million is the fundraising result reported by Blizzard, but the announcement does not break the donation down by individual construction project or claim that it will fund a particular number of homes.
The campaign continued outside the game
Blizzard and World of Warcraft team members also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Altadena, California. Their work helped build homes for families affected by the area's fires.
The Roofus promotion has ended, so this is no longer a purchase call. Its result nevertheless offers a concrete example of how an in-game pet and housing decorations can bring a large player community together around a shared cause.
