Forgotten dungeon loot can find its way back to you in Forever

The dungeon is over, the group moves on and only later do you remember that one item. A mail feature reported from the Forever beta could rescue an evening like that. It is not a reason to stop managing your bags.

What has been reported?

Wowhead's Jurdi reports that uncollected dungeon loot is sent by mail through Rix Xizzix's Steamwheedle Lost and Found, including a situation involving full bags.

We have not tested the feature ourselves. This is a beta observation, not a separately verified new announcement from Blizzard.

A safety net or too much convenience?

For us, the useful distinction is between rescuing an earned reward and removing the adventure required to earn it. Recovering something accidentally left behind is not the same as having a boss defeated for you.

The opposite concern is understandable too. Small practical decisions can be part of an adventure's character. When you have to choose what to carry and prepare for a trip, the bag is more than a grid in the interface. It changes how you plan the journey.

One beta observation cannot settle that argument. The precise limits of the feature will matter more than the label attached to it.

What still needs checking?

The available report is not a complete rulebook. It does not let us guarantee recovery of every grey item, quest item, currency drop or open-world reward. The exact trigger conditions and delivery delay also need closer examination.

We therefore would not suggest treating the mailbox as extra storage or deliberately leaving all loot behind. That would be a much stronger promise than the evidence supports.

How to make a useful beta report

If you encounter this during testing, our suggestion is to record the item, dungeon, time, bag state and what you did before leaving. Check the mailbox later and note how long you waited. That gives a report more value than a mailbox screenshot alone.

Do not deliberately test the limits with valuable or hard-to-replace loot. A safety net is reassuring only when you know what it catches. Follow further beta coverage in our Forever news archive.
