WoW developer Q&A this Thursday: where to watch and submit questions

Did BlizzCon leave a question that could change your group’s plans? Thursday’s WoW developer broadcast belongs on your calendar. This previews the Q&A Kaivax announced on September 12; it is not a new announcement today.

When and where to watch

Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 17:00 UTC / 10:00 PDT (20:00 in Finland). Watch on Warcraft’s Twitch or YouTube. Blizzard’s announcement also confirms a replay after the stream.

Updated September 15: Blizzard’s new broadcast notice splits the schedule into two segments: modern WoW begins at 17:00 UTC / 10:00 PDT, followed by WoW Forever at 17:30 UTC / 10:30 PDT (20:30 in Finland). If Forever is your main interest, put that later start in your calendar too.

Developers from the modern WoW and Forever teams will address post-BlizzCon player questions. This is not billed as a Forever-only event. The announcement provides neither a named guest list nor confirmed individual questions. The segment start times do not establish when the Forever discussion will finish.

Where to send a question

Reply in the EU question thread, or use the US thread linked from Blizzard’s article. Both are official collection threads opened by Kaivax.

Our advice: name the version of WoW first, then ask one concrete question. For a raiding concern, explain what your group is trying to arrange and which unresolved decision stands in the way. A long wish list can bury the actual question.

Read existing submissions too. A practical example may sharpen an existing topic more effectively than another broad demand. Posting does not guarantee that your question will be selected.

Four questions we would like answered

These are our editorial suggestions, not Blizzard’s announced agenda:

• Forever: how will a small group stay together when some friends progress much faster than others?
• Anniversary and other Classic versions: which long-term character decisions can players make confidently now, and which should wait for clarification?
• Modern WoW: how should a returning player find their next important goals without an external guide?
• Feedback: how will players learn which post-BlizzCon plans change in response to their suggestions?

Our yardstick is an ordinary evening together. Would an answer help friends coordinate a start, choose a character or set aside time? That would be more useful than a longer feature list.

What should you expect on Thursday?

Listen for how definite each answer is. A design goal, an option under consideration and a confirmed decision are different things. A general answer is not yet a guild schedule. We would not assume the broadcast promises new reveals or a beta opening time either.

Draft your question and identify the biggest uncertainty in your group’s conversation. The useful outcome is a clearer player decision, not simply another announcement to share.
