Make time for the campfire · Camping and the Sleeping Bag in Forever

A roadside fire in Forever can be more than somewhere to cook. Different professions contribute useful features, turning it into a shared stopping place. Recent beta reports explain how to join in and what to check before setting off.

Join a camp in three steps

According to Wowhead’s September 22 report:

1. Complete the introductory The Great Outdoors quest.
2. Look for a campsite when Campfire Nearby appears.
3. Use /sit at the fire for roughly a minute to receive available buffs. You need not be grouped with its owner.

We have not playtested these instructions. Check the current quest and item descriptions if your beta experience differs.

What does your profession contribute?

Reported examples include the Herbalist’s Intellect-granting Incense Candle, the Alchemist’s mana-regenerating Mana Well, and the Engineer’s Repair Bot. A Leatherworker’s Camp Tent provides rested experience.

You do not have to provide everything yourself. Our suggestion for friends is to bring complementary benefits instead of identical packages. A camp can be a natural place to ask what everyone has available.

Three objects do not mean three extra buff layers

Blizzard’s Deep Dive describes three basic-camp slots, one contribution per player and a shared one-hour cooldown. Camp buffs do not stack with equivalent class buffs. Upgraded fires can accommodate five or ten objects.

There is a source discrepancy: Blizzard describes Attack Power for the Blacksmith’s Sharpening Wheel, while Wowhead’s newer table says Strength. We cannot resolve that conflict without further evidence, so we do not recommend its precise effect here.

The Cozy Sleeping Bag returns

Wowhead reports a completed quest chain supported by tester screenshots. Its account says the Cozy Sleeping Bag grants 1% bonus experience per minute resting, up to 3%, with a one-hour item cooldown.

The report places beta access at level 14. Alliance players begin at Alexston Farmstead in Westfall, 37, 50; Horde players south of Camp Taurajo in the Barrens, 46, 74. Look for Burned-Out Remains. Stop here if you would rather discover the rest yourself.

The bag and Camping are separate systems. This roundup does not establish how every XP bonus stacks or the exact effect of Student Fodder in Forever.

Make the break part of the journey

Our advice is to try a camp when the group would pause anyway. Someone gets a drink, another checks the route and a third repairs equipment. The break then serves your evening instead of interrupting it merely for a percentage.
