WoW hotfixes: easier heroic keys and a Labyrinth Vault fix
TBC heroic keys now require Honored, and Midnight fixes Labyrinth credit for the Great Vault. The practical new fixes from October 26–27.
Preparing for TBC heroic dungeons gets easier, while Midnight fixes Labyrinth progress toward weekly rewards. Blizzard’s hotfix notes dated October 26–27 contain more than class tuning: several changes directly affect plans for your next session. Here are the most useful new fixes together.
TBC: Honored is enough for heroic keys
The October 27 Burning Crusade Classic update lowers heroic dungeon key reputation requirements from Revered to Honored. If that reputation tier has been holding a character back, the target is now closer. Official TBC hotfix notes.
This changes the reputation requirement for keys. The announcement does not remove keys, lower dungeon difficulty or broadly abolish other entry requirements. Our practical reading is simple: review your key eligibility before continuing a reputation grind aimed at the old Revered threshold.
Midnight: Labyrinth runs should count toward the Great Vault
The October 27 notes fix an issue where some Labyrinth scenarios failed to award Great Vault credit. That matters when planning a week around the reward panel. The announcement does not promise retroactive credit for previously missing runs. Official Midnight notes.

The previous day’s fixes also address scenario behaviour. The Wandering’s Remnant could briefly stop when players crossed the spirits’ tether proximity. In Containment Breach, one Flame of Jan’alai brazier could count twice. The Come to Your Senses bonus objective could complete repeatedly outside its intended scenario. October 26 fixes.
Small fixes with effects in combat
- Enhancement Shaman: Voltaic Blaze once again hits secondary targets when Ula’tek is the main target.
- Affliction Warlock: Summon Darkglare’s display in the Cooldown Manager was corrected.
- Holy Paladin: Spreading the Word no longer puts Cleanse on cooldown when Blessing of Protection is cast.
- Mistweaver Monk: Mistline was fixed in cases where it did not correctly heal the lowest-health target.
These are Blizzard’s reported fixes, not measurements from our own gameplay testing. Capturing Shade of Seabreaker Skoloth in neighbourhoods now also spawns only one chest, and a bug causing tabards to hide the Rexxar armour set was addressed. Original notes.
What about the class percentages?
The October 27 list also contains the previously announced PvE and PvP adjustments. Their numbers and restrictions are covered in our earlier class-tuning report. This roundup focuses on the fresh fixes: getting a key, having a run count, and an ability working as intended. They occupy small lines in the notes, but can determine whether an evening proceeds as planned.
