Midnight adjusts PvP slows again · Hunter, Mage and Paladin changes

Wing Clip, Chrono Shift and Consecrated Ground receive PvP adjustments. The latest hotfix list also fixes a quest-item problem in the Shadow Enclave delve.

Movement control is back on the Midnight PvP tuning list. Blizzard’s September 24 hotfixes extend earlier slow adjustments for three classes. This is not another across-the-board class damage package.

    The changes at a glance

    | Ability | PvP effect in the new list | | --- | --- | | Hunter: Wing Clip | Reduces movement speed by 40%. | | Hunter: Improved Snaring | Increases Wing Clip’s movement-speed reduction by 10%. | | Arcane Mage: Chrono Shift | A 30% slow, previously 50%. | | Paladin: Consecrated Ground | A 20% slow, previously 50%. |

We have not converted Improved Snaring’s bonus into a separate combined total. Blizzard’s wording gives the bonus rather than an explicitly calculated final Wing Clip value.

    These are PvP-specific numbers

The listed Arcane Mage and Paladin slows become weaker. That may change how easily an opponent gets away, but it does not establish a class’s overall win rate or a new tier list. Movement, other control tools and timing still matter.

The values are specifically for PvP combat. Do not copy them into raid or Mythic+ advice as general ability changes. When checking your own interface, pay attention to the PvP context and the talents you have selected.

A Shadow Enclave item returns from the pit

In the Infiltrate and Ameliorate variant, an Oddball “Ingredient” dropped into the pit now teleports to one of several locations in the play area. This concerns recovering the item, not a general adjustment to difficulty or rewards.

A separate list from the previous class fixes

Our previous hotfix article covered Blightfall, Windwalker and Valeera in the September 23 section. This article covers the following September 24 section so the new information does not disappear into an older list.

Blizzard notes that some hotfixes may require realm restarts. We are not assigning an unverified time when every change became active in every region.
