Midnight hotfixes · fixes for Unholy, Windwalker and Valeera
Blightfall damage, PvP tuning leaking into PvE and Valeera becoming stuck after a faction change: the latest hotfixes explained.
Midnight’s latest list has three practical fixes. The notes dated September 23 were posted on September 24 at 00:12 UTC. They are separate from the preceding broad class-tuning package.
Unholy: Blightfall’s damage was behaving incorrectly
Blightfall erroneously dealt less damage as time passed after applying the plague. Blizzard reports that bug fixed, without assigning a blanket percentage increase to overall Unholy damage.
Windwalker: PvP adjustments leaked into PvE
Celestial Conduit and Flurry Strikes were incorrectly using PvP adjustments in PvE. The fix addresses that separation, not a new universal Monk damage multiplier.
Valeera: follow the recovery steps in order
A faction change could prevent Valeera from changing talents or gaining abilities. Blizzard tells affected players to:
- Enter a delve on the affected character.
- Leave the delve.
- Log out.
What to check in your next session
If you compare combat logs, keep equipment, talents and targets as consistent as possible. Otherwise it is difficult to tell which part of a damage difference comes from the fix. That is our testing suggestion, not an additional Blizzard change.
Our earlier class roundup covers the broader balance package. We are keeping its percentages separate from this report.
