What this profession is for

First Aid is an easy secondary profession that gives every class bandage healing. The TBC stage uses Runecloth and Netherweave Cloth.

Remember: The exact skill route always depends on your realm's prices. Use these phases as a framework and switch crafts when a material group is clearly overpriced.

Skill phases

1-75 · Apprentice
Linen bandages raise the opening quickly.
  • Do not vendor cloth while leveling.
  • First Aid is good to level as the character progresses.
75-150 · Journeyman
Wool and Silk take you through the next brackets.
  • Bandages are useful in actual play too, so the crafts are not wasted.
  • Keep trainer or book upgrades on schedule.
150-225 · Expert
Move from Silk into Mageweave.
  • If cloth is expensive, level First Aid gradually through leveling and dungeons.
  • Mageweave can be contested because of Tailoring.
225-300 · Artisan
Runecloth bandages take you to the Classic cap.
  • Runecloth is used heavily elsewhere too, so save it ahead of time.
  • For PvP and solo players, this is a very useful bracket.
300-375 · Master / Outland
Netherweave Bandage and Heavy Netherweave Bandage raise you to the TBC cap.
  • TBC First Aid is learned from books, not only from a normal trainer.
  • Save Netherweave deliberately between Tailoring and First Aid needs.

Practical tips

  • First Aid is worth leveling on almost every character.
  • Melee and PvP characters benefit especially from bandages.
  • Do not spend all Netherweave on bags before planning First Aid.
