Three guilds reach 5/8 as the World First race moves to Twin Fangs

Liquid and Echo followed Method past Sszorak. The three leading guilds are now 5/8 Mythic, with the next contest unfolding on Twin Fangs.

The Venomous Abyss Race to World First has tightened into a three-guild contest. Method, Liquid and Echo have each defeated five of the raid's eight Mythic bosses. After the weekly reset, attention moved from Sszorak to Twin Fangs, and Method is no longer alone at 5/8.

Liquid secured the world-second and North American-first Sszorak kill. Echo followed with the world-third and European-second kill. Method still owns the Sszorak World First, but progress on the next encounter has reopened the race.

Echo makes the strongest opening on Twin Fangs

In Method's live-coverage snapshot, Echo brought Twin Fangs to 24.1% on its first pull. Liquid's best stood at 43.86%, while Method was still completing its Mythic reclear toward the encounter. Remaining boss health is not a permanent ranking; it only records each guild's best attempt at that moment.

Echo defeated Sszorak on its eighth pull of the day. Liquid had killed the boss earlier and had already started learning Twin Fangs. The three international favourites therefore reached the same boss count, although their reset schedules and available progression time are not identical.

Twin Fangs can reorder the race

Twin Fangs is the raid's sixth encounter. The Coiled Altar and final boss Ula’tek remain after it. The first Twin Fangs kill will be the next boss World First, but the complete race is only decided by the first Mythic Ula’tek kill.

The tie makes the next breakthrough especially important. Method is defending momentum from two consecutive World Firsts, Liquid is trying to convert a strong reclear into its first boss win of this raid, and Echo opened Twin Fangs with the lowest remaining percentage.

The picture can change by the hour. The confirmed result is that Method, Liquid and Echo are all 5/8 Mythic and Sszorak now has three kills. Twin Fangs remains undefeated.
