Balance Druid: what should you learn from the demo?

The Balance tree connects Wrath and Starfire while giving mana management a prominent role. This guide explains the playstyle suggested by demo talents. It is not a final raid rotation or a performance prediction.

Demo talent trees: Balance · Feral Combat · Restoration

Treat Wrath and Starfire as a pair

The demo version of Eclipse links Wrath casts to faster subsequent Starfires. Read the talent and track its charges: repeatedly casting only Starfire would ignore that interaction. An optimal sequence still depends on final tuning, equipment and combat logs.

Plan your mana before your burst

Improved Wrath and Moonglow affect mana spending. In a long encounter, that can change how long you continue dealing damage without a break. Moonfire and Insect Swarm are periodic-damage options worth testing; a short-lived target may die before the mana spent on them pays off.

Moonkin is a group decision too

The demo tooltip says Moonkin Form’s party critical bonus does not stack with Leader of the Pack. Healing spells cannot be cast in the form. If emergency healing is needed, anticipate leaving the form rather than treating Moonkin purely as a damage button.

Try a build

Use the calculator to compare mana-saving, damage and utility choices. Check prerequisites and points required in lower rows. We are not naming BiS equipment, a hit cap or one best 51-point build yet: those need confirmed rules and practical testing.
