Skyborne visuals are changing · classic-style models target early 2027
Blizzard previews revised Skyborne Druid forms and work-in-progress SD characters. See the official comparisons and what the announced timing means.
Skyborne visuals are still evolving. In its new visual update, Blizzard previews revised fur detail and saturation for HD Druid forms. SD characters and SD Druid forms are also in development, with arrival announced for early 2027.
See the comparison side by side

To our eyes, the interesting difference is the overall impression rather than any isolated detail. Compare the same form across both columns: where does your attention go first, and how easily can you recognise the silhouette?
There is no need to declare an absolute winner. One player may prefer a brighter character, another a more restrained one. We find a different question more useful: how would you feel about your character in the environment where you will spend dozens of hours?
The HD revision and SD option are separate

Do not read every image as one finished update. The comparison covers HD Druid forms; the other preview shows unfinished SD characters. There is no exact release date, and this report does not establish that everything pictured is already playable.
Take your time choosing a character
If appearance determines your class choice, these images are worth considering on their own terms. For gameplay information, our Forever Druid page is a useful next stop. Appearance and build planning can be separate decisions: liking a model does not automatically tell you which playstyle you will enjoy.
