Forever beta gets Mac and controller fixes · weekly update due September 24

A Mac beta session cut short by crashes now has a new build to try. WoW Forever 1.60.1 build 69977 is available, according to Kaivax's announcement. That is not a promise that every crash is fixed.

What changed in this build?

Blizzard lists fixes for some Mac display and stability issues. Character-selection navigation should work better when launching with a gamepad active. Quest-giving items can also now be used with a gamepad.

Update before testing again

The official instruction is to exit the beta and update through Battle.net. Our advice for testers: record the build number before trying again. That saves guesswork when comparing observations from different versions.

If the problem persists, describe exactly when it happens. Did the symptom change or disappear entirely? One successful login is a good start, but it is not a test of every situation.
