Forever's Fang set has a serpent surprise for Druids

If Wailing Caverns mostly brings back memories of getting lost and rolling for leather, here is a nicer reason to think about its tunnels. A Druid appearance surprise has surfaced in Forever's beta. The discovery was shared on September 19; this is not a class feature newly announced today.

What did the player find?

Icy Veins reports that Noah, posting as BwuhMG, obtained a serpent appearance with the full Embrace of the Viper set from Wailing Caverns, familiar through its Fang item names. The article also reproduces designer Aidan “Zirene” Moon's explanation: Druid races have different colours, and prowling makes the snake slither low along the ground.

A permanent appearance is not established

We would not turn this into a definitive farming guide yet. We cannot confirm whether the appearance survives changing equipment, whether transmog preserves it or exactly which action triggers the change. We are not claiming a combat advantage either.

That distinction matters to collectors. A permanent addition to an appearance collection and a trick that needs a particular set are different rewards. Both can be fun, but only one lets you replace the gear without a second thought.

Small surprises make a world worth exploring

For us, the appeal is that a reward need not be another improved number. Remembering a dungeon because of how your character looked beside the rest of the party feels very much like WoW. A little secret gives friends something to show one another without needing to become another compulsory checklist.
