How to read these guides
Each guide splits the profession into TBC skill brackets: 1-75, 75-150, 150-225, 225-300 and 300-375. Crafting professions focus on material groups and recipe choices, while gathering professions focus on zone routes and skill requirements. Always compare exact craft counts with the prices on your own realm.
1-75 Apprentice
- Do not buy too many finished bolt stacks if raw cloth is cheaper.
- The start of Tailoring is usually one of the cheapest crafting stages.
75-150 Journeyman
- The Silk stage can be expensive if many players are leveling First Aid at the same time.
- Bags can be used yourself or sold if prices support it.
150-225 Expert
- Mageweave Bag style crafts can make sense if they move on the AH.
- An Enchanting pair can turn weak gear crafts into materials.
225-300 Artisan
- Runecloth is often also a reputation and First Aid material, so the price can vary.
- If you need bags for several alts, craft useful intermediate steps.
300-375 Master / Outland
- Mooncloth/Shadowcloth/Spellcloth specialization affects what you want to make after the skill cap.
- Spellthreads and caster sets make the 350+ stage useful at the start of progression too.
