Mythic Coiled Altar eased as Blizzard fixes Ula’tek damage bugs

Mythic Coiled Altar now gives healers more room to recover, while several unintended Ula’tek damage events have been removed. Blizzard's August 31 hotfix round also corrects abilities for six classes, an Omnium Folio crowd-control problem, and the placement of Housewarming groups in Group Finder.

Coiled Altar's Mythic mechanic leaves more room for recovery

Defilement of the Coiled Altar's healing absorb has been reduced by 20% on Mythic difficulty. This is the clearest direct balance change in the package: healers must still clear the absorb, but the healing burden and the risk of falling behind are lower.

The other two Coiled Altar changes are bug fixes. Coalesced Venom can no longer appear inside a Virulent Mutation rim, and Soul Sever now highlights the Manifestations of Dread that will actually be destroyed. These corrections are about reliable positioning and readable mechanics rather than a numerical difficulty reduction.

Ula’tek's unintended extra damage has been removed

Blight Vein and Toxic Burn could occasionally deal additional damage; both issues have been corrected. Damage from carrying eggs is now classified as periodic rather than direct damage. Dancing Rune Weapon should cast properly against the Venomous Heart, Grasping Fangs has more range, and Ula’tek should no longer re-emerge at the wrong point during the intermission.

The practical gain is predictability. This is not a blanket Ula’tek nerf, but damage spikes, Heart interactions, and the intermission should now follow the intended encounter structure more consistently.

Six class fixes are not a general tuning pass

• Unholy Death Knight: Dread and Virulent Plague Erupt now interact correctly with several talent, target, and caster damage modifiers.
• Restoration Druid: Grove Guardians prioritise the target of Swiftmend or Wild Growth. Everbloom once again heals its intended five targets instead of six.
• Fire Mage: the 2-piece Flamestrike effect properly grants Hot Streak when Pyroclasm guarantees a critical strike.
• Mistweaver Monk: Soothing Mist no longer rarely cancels the wrong aura.
• Holy Priest: Guardian Angel properly reduces Guardian Spirit's cooldown when used on an ally.
• Affliction Warlock: Blackened Soul activates from Unstable Affliction applied by Fatal Echoes.

These notes should be separated from the distinct September class-tuning package. They correct ability implementation rather than broadly buffing all six classes. Restoration Druid players may experience the Everbloom correction as a small loss, but the sixth target was unintended and the spell is returning to its stated five-target behaviour.

Omnium Folio and user interface

Omnium Folio's Rune of Lingering no longer breaks crowd-control effects on enemies. That should prevent the automated effect from disrupting a deliberately controlled pull.

Groups for the Housewarming housing quest now appear under Questing in the Premade Group Finder instead of Custom. The quest itself has not changed, but its groups should be easier to find in the expected category.
