How to read these guides
Each guide covers five skill brackets: 1-75, 75-150, 150-225, 225-300 and 300-375. Crafting guides outline materials and recipe choices; gathering guides cover suitable areas and skill requirements. These are progression overviews, not complete shopping lists. Check recipe requirements and your realm's prices before buying materials.
1-75 Apprentice
- Keep enchanting rod upgrades on schedule.
- If you have a Tailoring alt, disenchant cheap cloth crafts.
75-150 Journeyman
- Enchanting does not always create sellable items while leveling, so the cost is felt directly.
- Avoid recipes that require rare shards for only a few skill points.
150-225 Expert
- Disenchanting inexpensive gear may cost less than buying the materials directly.
- Compare dust prices with cheap uncommon-quality gear at the auction house.
225-300 Artisan
- Late Classic enchants can use expensive essences and shards.
- If you are not rushing to 300, collect materials from the gear you obtain in dungeons and quests.
300-375 Master / Outland
- Ring enchants are the enchanter's own permanent benefit.
- Void Shatter and shard conversions make the material market volatile: check prices before mass crafting.
