Tactics for all 6 encounters, progression checklists and documented Retail hotfix history.

    How to use this guide

Read the raid’s change history and each boss summary first. Boss cards separate core tactics, role responsibilities and documented tuning changes.

This guide covers Retail Midnight as of August 19, 2026. Hotfixes may change numerical values, but explanations of mechanics are not replaced with guesswork.

The Voidspire in Midnight raid progression

Midnight’s first main raid leads from the foot of Voidstorm to the top of the Voidspire. Its six encounters test portal placement, add control, balanced damage on two targets and coordinated transitions in the finale.

For raid lead: Choose a difficulty level, check the live Adventure Journal and assign each boss's special responsibilities before the pull.

The Voidspire: nerf and change history

The timeline separates the release schedule, bug fixes, flex scaling, and intentional difficulty changes. Undocumented pre/post numbers are not filled with guesswork.

    DateDocumented changeEffect
March 17, 2026Normal, Heroic and the first wing of the Raid Finder opened.Mythic, later Raid Finder wings and Story Mode opened in stages from 24th to 31st March.
March 26, 2026Vorasius activation was delayed and several Vaelgor & Ezzorak, Vanguard and Crown bugs were fixed.Fixes improved readability and removed incorrect alignments; they are not called numerical nerfs.
April 7 – 17, 2026Add health was reduced for smaller groups, and dangerous abilities from Mythic Salhadaar and Lightblinded Vanguard were made less punishing. These changes eased small-group scaling and key Mythic progression barriers.
April 22 – June 12, 2026Adjusted Crown of the Cosmos' Gravity Collapse damage, enemy health, energy build-up, and berserk time. The Mythic requirement of the final went down in several rounds.

In retail raids, the latest Blizzard hotfix and the game's Adventure Journal are the primary source of truth for the numbers.
